Unexplainable Joy

For the past few weeks I have been in an unfamiliar territory, and I've been exposed to new people. As with every opportunity to meet new people you encounter those with calm, gentle, and invitingly warm  personalities and there are always others with nasty icky personalities. Nasty attitudes. Unexplainably nasty attitudes. The kind of attitudes that will make you forget that everyday you're working to bring God glory, and just make you go slap off. Let us not forget that in this journey toward being better Christians we experience test. Of these test, some will either make us or break us! I have been made these past few weeks.
Shout out to the Divine 9. Ha!
Now with all processes there are ways around the bad, and I have learned how to deal with the unexplainably nasty attitudes; by having unexplainable JOY! Psalm 68:3 Let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God's presence. Let them be filled with joy. Throughout these past weeks I have really had to dig deep in my word, and talk more with my Father. *Sidenote: We don't always have the time to get down on our knees and pray, sometimes we just have to take a quick second and ask for Him to step in with what we are in need of -- JOY!  The joy He has given me these past few weeks has been able to knock down Satan's little subjects. Our parents use to tell us, "Kill them with kindness", well I prefer "Break them with joy." You are a child of the King, and because you are you have so much power within, and using the joy of the Lord is one of them. The Word of God tells us that "..the joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10) With this joy you can move mountains, break down strongholds, and make the meanest of people crack a smile.
Learn to be joyful even in the toughest of situations. Of course we are human and naturally we experience emotional highs and lows, but do not allow the lows to bring you down to a place where you are weak. Find joy, allow it to be your strength, and watch your surroundings change.

xoxo, Carmen
